Goodbye Windows

Enough is enough.  After years of putting up with Windows and being scared to death about losing my XPP CD and having to purchase Veesta, I decided to install Ubuntu 8.04 on my Dell Lappy.  It’s been relatively smooth sailing so far.  Some minor tweaks were needed to get it to hibernate correctly, and my internal mic took a while to figure out.  However, I’m completely happy with it.  When I can afford it, I’ll end up getting a MacBookPro, but this is a very acceptable solution for the time being.

I intalled VMWare Server to be able to run XPP, but I see no need to….so: rm -rf windows

Welcome to my Blob

This is my blob.  I don’t like the word blog, so I stole the word “blob” from Andrew D’Angelo, one of the best musicians our planet has seen.  Check him out.  Thanks Androo!  I’m not too sure what this is going to be for, but I figured that if everyone else has one, why not me?  grin

This blog:  http://benstineman.com/blog  Is funny, as Ben’s CMS is VIM.  Ben is a too smart for his own good, so I see him building his own content management system from scratch some day.  Just so he can prove to himself that he can do it.

At the least, take a lesson from ben & his blogdevice:  rm -rf word_press/
